PREVIEW: LEICESTER CITY (H)
Posted on: Fri 27 Nov 2009
Scunthorpe United v Leicester City
at Glanford Park
Saturday, November 28, 2009 - 3.00pm
Scunthorpe return to Glanford Park on Saturday when they host Leicester City.
United will be at home for the first time in four weeks, and are seeking their first win since October 20 when they defeated Newcastle United.
They face two successive home matches now and victories in both can see them climb up the league table.
Indeed, after they take on Leicester the next four matches are all against sides in the lower reaches of the division.
The Iron have no fresh injury worries, with the only players absent being Ben May (ankle) and Kenny Milne (knee).
There may be changes from the side beaten 3-0 at Watford though, with the likes of Grant McCann and Michael O'Connor all desperate for a return to action. Matt Sparrow is a slight doubt with a dead leg so could sit out.
Joe Murphy will return to the side after serving a one-match suspension, replacing Josh Lillis between the sticks.
Manager Nigel Adkins is expected to keep faith with the same defence that lined up at Vicarage Road, while he will be hoping that magical front duo Paul Hayes and Gary Hooper will strike gold against the Foxes.
Leicester captain Matt Oakley returns from suspension, so manager Nigel Pearson has an almost fully-fit squad to choose.
The ex-Southampton man served a one-match ban as the Foxes beat Plymouth last week and he could replace last week's match-winner Andy King.
Defender Aleksandar Tunchev (knee) and midfielder Stephen Clemence (heel) remain the only long-term absentees.
The referee for the match is Rob Shoebridge from Derbyshire.
